Because some stories deserve more than a screen. They deserve a place on the shelf. Something tangible. Something lasting.

My story

I'm Mel, the founder of Braeside Studio.

I bring over 20 years editorial experience, understanding and a deep appreciation for the printed page. I approach every project individually, from the first idea through to the finished publication, with careful attention to the story, the audience and the way it will be experienced.

Editing memoir and legacy book

Braeside Studio grew from a desire to continue that work in a more personal and meaningful way.

Whether it’s a memoir, family history, cookbook, poetry collection, commemorative publication, community project or an organisation’s own book or magazine, my aim is always the same: to create something meaningful, polished and made to last.

I work closely with my clients throughout the publishing process, taking care of the creative and practical details that turn an idea into a finished publication.

Because every project is different, every publication should be too.

From our first conversation through to the moment you hold your book in your hands, my goal is to make the process enjoyable, supportive and straightforward, taking care of the details along the way so you can focus on what matters most — your story and your ideas.
