The Process
1. Discovery
Every publication begins with understanding what you want to achieve. We’ll discuss your organisation, your audience, your objectives and the publication you have in mind. Whether it’s an anniversary book, annual publication, industry journal, company history or something completely bespoke, I’ll help define the scope, format and direction from the outset.
2. Writing & Editing
Great publications need great content. Depending on your requirements, I can work with existing material, conduct research and interviews, or develop content from the ground up. I’ll edit and refine your words to ensure the finished publication is clear, engaging and consistent, while retaining the character and expertise of your organisation.
3. Design
This is where your content becomes a cohesive publication. I’ll develop a considered visual direction that reflects your organisation, audience and purpose, then bring the publication together through thoughtful typography, imagery, layout and structure. Every detail is considered to create a professional and polished result.
4. Printing & Production
Once the design is approved, I’ll manage the production process from preparing final artwork to coordinating with trusted printers and suppliers. I can advise on paper stocks, binding, finishes and formats to ensure the production choices are appropriate for both the publication and your budget.
5. Delivery
The final publication is carefully prepared and delivered ready for distribution, whether that means copies for members, clients, staff or stakeholders, presentation at an anniversary event, or a publication intended for sale or wider distribution. You’ll have a finished product that is professionally produced and ready to represent your organisation.
